Class lists will be posted via Edline the week of Aug. 20. Those whose e-mail addresses have change should notify principal Clark so they can receive notification of the posting.
Volleyball season
The boys volleyball season has come to a close and all three teams, JV and both Varsity (seventh and eighth grade) had strong season play. The season was capped off with second place finishes and trophies in the Council 11 3A league championships by the JV and eight grade varsity teams. The eight grade varsity team also received a trophy and accolades with the best regular season record undefeated.
Jubilee Jog
The St. Joseph Jubilee Jog is a 5K Run/Walk. Money raised will support all SJS programs. The event will begin at 8 a.m. May 28. There will be a certified course, D’Tag Timing System. To register, visit www.signmeup.com/82844. Registrations forms are also available at St. Joseph Rectory, Road Runner Sports and Wilmette Bike Shop. Race details can be found at www.stjosephwilmette.com. The school is in need of volunteers to pass out posters to local businesses. They also need day of race volunteers. Women’s Club
anniversary
The St. Joseph Women’s Club will celebrate 150 years of service. Mass will be celebrated by Francis Cardinal George and celebrated by former Pastors, Bishop Francis Kane and Msgr. John Pollard, and Pastor, Father Robert Tonelli at 5 p.m. Mass May 19 in the Church, immediately followed by a black tie optional dinner at the Skokie Country Club in Glencoe.
In connection with the Anniversary, St. Joseph Women’s Club is selling raffle tickets for chances to win great prizes. Raffle tickets are $20 each or six for $100 and the drawing will be held at the 150th Anniversary Celebration Dinner following Mass on May 19. Winners need not be present. May crowning
May Crowning is at 2:30 p.m. May 15.
PSO meeting
The PSO will meet at 8:45 a.m. May 16.
Pizza day
Uniforms will not be required on Pizza Day May 18. A school mass with mass uniforms required will take place May 19.
Banquet
The Athletic Banquet will take place from 4-6 p.m. May 20.
Preschool
graduation
Preschool graduation will take place May 22.
Dinner dance
The eighth grade dinner dance will take place May 31 and the graduation will be June 2.
School board
meeting
A field day/school board meeting will take place at 7 p.m. June 4. The last day of school will feature a 10 a.m. dismissal at June 6.
Last days
The last day for two year old and preschool (not junior kindergarten) students will be June 1.
