Spaulding wins 2 matches in tennis Winter Nationals

James Spaulding, 14, of Winnetka, won 2 matches in the USTA Winter Nationals Championships, Boys 14’s, held in Tucson, Arizona over winter break. Spaulding, a New Trier freshman, defeated Felipe Osses-Konig of New York 6-4, 6-1 and Andrew Newell of Seattle 6-2, 6-1 in reaching the quarter finals of the South draw. The tournament finshed on January 1st.
