Pooky has a funny name but an adorable face. She’s an American Bulldog mix and she’s raring to go play!

This girl has learned to work her beautiful, soulful eyes. One longing look and the volunteers take her out for a romp. Her favorite thing to do is romp and play, and then romp and play some more.

Pooky’s a young dog so it’s no wonder she has lots of puppy energy. Need a running companion? Pooky’s on board with that.

Her coloring is lovely – all white and coffee and pink – with a black nose just waiting to sniff out some fun.

Pooky would do best in a home with older children (13 and older) but she would also be fine with just adults. She does need exercise, though. So anyone who adopts her will get an automatic benefit – lots of walking, running or hard playing. Burns lots of calories!

Come and visit your exercise partner at Save-A-Pet in Grayslake. Pooky is about one year old, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and she is heartworm negative, on a preventative and microchipped.

Save-A-Pet is committed to saving animals without the killing. They take in animals from many sources and the volunteers work with dogs. While you’re at Save-a-Pet, make a donation if you can. The cats and dogs there will appreciate it.

Save-A-Pet is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to finding loving, quality homes for each cat and dog in its care. Pets are sheltered indefinitely.
