Church holds rummage sale

The Kenilworth Union Church Rummage Sale will be begin with the Preview Deballage Luncheon/Fashion Show/Silent auction from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. July 11. The event will feature top-of-the-line fashions collected from donations and include a luncheon and auctions. The event will take place at the Skokie Country Club, 500 Washington Ave., Glencoe. The Premium Presale (50 percent markup) will be held from 8 a.m.-noon July 19 and the Rummage Sale from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. July 21 at Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Ave. Admission to the event is free.

Held for more than six decades, Kenilworth Union Church’s Rummage Sale provides a unique opportunity to purchase pre-owned, high-end items for a fraction of their original value; including antique and reproduction furniture; rugs; decorative arts; jewelry; paintings; giftware; tabletop accessories and more.

Fashion is always an important part of the sale. The “French Room” traditionally features ladies fashions by world-famous designers, such as Lilly Pulitzer, Tory Burch, Burberry, Diane Von Furstenberg, Theory, Kate Spade, Gicco and Prada. Sportswear, daytime fashions, shoes and purses are also available. Sports equipment, bikes, lawn and garden, children’s toys and books are not to be missed.

All proceeds raised go directly to KUC’s 50 outreach agencies in the Chicago area.
