Ver Bockel named to list

John Ver Bockel of Winnetka, managing director and investments and private wealth advisor for Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group, has been named to the Barron’s “America’s Top 100 Advisors” list. Bockel has worked in the investment management industry since 1982. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he worked in the consulting division of Arthur Andersen. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and holds the certified financial manager designation, which is an internal Merrill Lynch self-study curriculum based on a variety of wealth management topics and a course exam. John serves on the boards of Rush Presbyterian Hospital and the Evans Scholars Foundation. He also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin School of Business and is a member of the Merrill Lynch Advisory Council to Management.
