Woman’s Club offers grants to nonprofits

Updated: February 23, 2012 7:49AM

The Woman’s Club of Wilmette (WCW) is encouraging nonprofit organizations to apply for funding this year.

Over the years, the WCW has made contributions to many organizations and projects in the area, including Erika’s Lighthouse, Family Service Center, Go Green, and Youth Connection.

While the WCW tends to focus on the needs of local nonprofits, the club has also responded to emergency needs including a donation to the Village of Wilmette to replace trees downed in a 2008 storm and to the Haitian Earthquake Relief Fund.

To apply, organizations must complete an application and submit it to the WCW’s Community Service Coordinator by March 15 for review. The application and instructions for submission may be found by visiting the Nonprofit Gifting area of www.womansclubofwilmette.org.
