“Drops” by Peter Nussbaum and “People/Places” by Howard Hart are two groups of photographs on display in a new exhibit at the Perspective Group and Gallery, 1310-1/2B Chicago Ave, Evanston.

Nussbaum’s “Drops” explores “the large universe encapsulated in a tiny hanging water drop,” and how the water’s surface, like a lens, gives a very different view of the subject than your eye does.

About his work, Hart notes that, “When I shoot on the street, I look for those moments when people and place come together in a way that suggests more than either would alone,” as happens in this photograph (below left).

The show runs noon-6 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays, noon-5 p.m. Fridays, July 5-29. An opening reception is 5-8 p.m. Saturday, July 14. Call (224) 200-1155 for more information.
