Wilmette authors speak at Botanic Garden

Wilmette residents Charlotte Adelman, with Bernie Schwartz, her husband and co-author of The Midwestern Native Garden — Native Alernatives to Nonnative Flowers and Plants, An Illustrated Guide (Ohio University Press 2011) will give an illustrated talk on local gardening at 1:30 p.m.Wednesday, May 23, at the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe. The talk will cover nonnative flowers and plants that are popular in North Shore gardens and landscapes. The program, co-sponsored by the Book Stall and the Chicago Botanic Garden, will cost $5.
