After Pat Argentieri proposed to Julie Pearce, he told her they were going to dinner — just the two of them — at their favorite restaurant, Sapori Trattoria in Lincoln Park. Instead, the couple found Julie’s parents waiting at the restaurant. He also emailed about forty of their friends the night before to meet them after dinner to celebrate. Julie, a Wilmette native, and Pat, of Hornell, N.Y., would have loved to marry at their alma mater, The University of Notre Dame in Indiana, but chose downtown Chicago to show their many out-of-town guests the beauty of the city.

Hands-on groom gets in on the wedding planning
“Justin’s definitely a planner,” Chelsea Solarik said of her husband, Justin Parker. The Buffalo Grove native set up an elaborate scavenger hunt where Chelsea had to unlock clues that ultimately led to Independence Grove in Libertyville where he proposed. Chelsea kept one of the keys from the hunt and later attached it to her wedding bouquet.
