Close to 300 students from Wilmette’s Regina Dominican High School put on their walking shoes Oct. 26 to show their support for former Regina student Lisa Tomassetti and her daughter Livvy, who has cystic fibrosis, as well as for the millions of others who deal with the incurable disease.
The walk was co-sponsored for the first time this year by the National Honor Society, the student council, the junior class executive board and Campus Ministry.
By the end of the day, students who took part raised $4,000 for the “Liv for a Cure” Foundation, school officials said this week.
