Police Blotter: Waukegan woman charged with theft from Carson Pirie Scott

The following arrests were listed among the official reports of the Wilmette and Kenilworth Police Departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court, Skokie, unless indicated otherwise.

Wilmette

DRUGS

Police called to the 100 block of Briar Drive on Aug. 13 to investigate a complaint that the occupants of a parked car were possibly using drugs, ended up issuing local ordinance tickets for possessing marijuana and possessing alcohol as minors to two Skokie teenage boys: Peter K. Tate, 18, of 8332 Christian Ave, and Tafari Beckford, 19, of 9002 Lamon Ave; one female Skokie teen: Elijha Jones, 19, of 9139 Ewing Ave; and one unidentified juvenile teen. The reports didn’t provide court dates for the three.

DUI

Police arrested David Wanders, 58, of 3306 Cottonfield Drive in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on Aug. 11 and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol, following an incident that ended on the 1000 block of Hibbard Road. The initial report did not give Wanders’ court date.

THEFT

Police arrested Lucia Sanchez-Cruz, 43, of 3146 Newcastle Road in Waukegan, on Aug. 13 and charged her with retail theft, following an incident that day at the Carson Pirie Scott department store, 3200 Lake Ave., in the Edens Plaza shopping center. The report didn’t give Sanchez-Cruz’s court date.

TRAFFIC

Police arrested Elizabeth Perez Delgado, 32, of 1726 Darrow Ave. in Evanston and charged her with driving without a license, and driving on a suspended license, following an Aug. 11 incident that ended on the 3600 block of Lake Ave. The initial report didn’t give her court date.

Kenilworth

TRAFFIC

Antonio A. Cisneros, 30, of 2743 W. Catalpa Ave. in Chicago, is scheduled to appear Sept. 4 in Cook County Court on a charge of driving on a suspended driver’s license, following an Aug. 13 two-vehicle traffic crash on the 100 block of Sheridan Road. Police reported that a second person involved in the incident was taken to Evanston hospital for observation.

Manuel Osorio-Mendoza, 47, of 5942 W. Dakin St. in Chicago, is scheduled to appear Aug. 29 in Cook County Court on a charge of driving without a valid license, following an Aug. 13 single-car traffic crash on the 300 block of Green Bay Road.
