Writers Theater to open season with ‘Isaac’s Eye’

Glencoe’s Writers Theatre will open up its 2014-15 season with the Midwest premiere of Lucas Hnath’s “Isaac’s Eye,” a look at the life of scientist Sir Isaac Newton.

The show is scheduled to start on Sept. 2 and run through Dec. 7 with performance times of Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 and 6 p.m.

In addition there will be some Wednesday matinees at 2 p.m. After selected Wednesday shows, there will be a post-show discussion with the audience.

The Writers Theatre is at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Ave., in Glencoe, with the box office located close by at 321 Park Ave. Tickets range in price from $35 to $75.
