Police Blotter: Des Plaines woman charged with DUI

The following arrests were listed among the official reports of the Wilmette and Kenilworth Police Departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court, Skokie, unless indicated otherwise.

Wilmette

DUI

Police arrested Annely Kagu, 35, of 8846 Robin Drive, in Des Plaines, on July 29 and charged her with driving under the influence of alcohol, following an incident that day in an alley on the 800 block of Ridge Road. The initial report did not give her court date.

DRUGS

Police issued a local ordinance ticket for possession of fewer than 10 grams of marijuana to Ammar Ikanovic, 20, of 7538 N. Kilbourn Ave. in Skokie, after a July 31 incident at Gillson Park.

DISORDERLY

Police charged Leonard Murillo, 18, formerly of 309 B. Ridge Road, Apt. 209, in Wilmette, with resisting and obstructing a peace officer, following a July 31 incident at that address, to which police were called when a relative of Murillo’s requested officers’ help in removing him from the residence. The initial report did not give Murillo’s court date.

TRAFFIC

Police arrested Luis Munguia, 25, of 2812 W. Nemesis Ave., in Waukegan, on July 29, and charged him with driving on a suspended driver’s license, following an incident that day, which ended on the 1700 block of Lake Avenue. The report didn’t give Munguia’s court date.

Police arrested Edgar Ortiz, 37, of 1915 N. Kilbourn Ave. in Chicago, and charged him with driving on a suspended license, following an incident that day which ended at the intersection of Green Bay Road and Forest Avenue. The report did not give his court date.

Police arrested Miguel Martinez, 43, of 6033 S. Talman Ave. in Chicago, on Aug. 1 and charged him with driving on a suspended license, following a traffic stop that day on the 700 block of Green Bay Road. The report did not give his court date.

Police arrested Lonnie Preister, 50, of 200 Ridge Road in Evanston with driving on a suspended license, following an Aug. 1 traffic stop on the 200 block of Ridge Road in Wilmette. The initial report didn’t give Preister’s court date.

Police arrested Rosa Chaves, 50, of 5328 W. Cornelia Ave. in Chicago on Aug. 1 and charged her with driving without a valid license, following a traffic collision between the car Chaves was driving and a bicyclist, at the intersection of 10th Street and Sheridan Road. Police reported that the bicyclist was not injured.

Police arrested Miguel Orozco, 30, of 421 Dodge Ave. in Evanston on Aug. 3 and charged him with driving on a suspended license, following an incident that day which ended on Sheridan Road at Elmwood Avenue. The initial report didn’t give Orozco’s court date.

Kenilworth

Kenilworth police reported no criminal activity during the week ending August 3.
