WILMETTE — Two taxi drivers dealt with non-paying teen passengers in Wilmette last week, according to police reports.

In the first incident a driver for 303 Taxi told officers he picked up two teenage girls in Glencoe; they directed him to the 1200 block of Cherry Avenue in Winnetka to pick up a teenage boy, then were dropped off at the corner of 13th Street and Elmwood Avenue in Wilmette.

The teenage boy remained in the car for a short while, but got out without paying the $42 the driver was owed. Police traced the original call for service, and the case is still continuing.

The other incident happened Jan. 19; a driver said he picked up four men in Evanston and brought them to a house on the 500 block of Washington, then got out of the car and fled without paying. Police searched the area unsuccessfully. The driver recognized two suspects from previous drives. He said he was owed $21.
